Happy New Year! (2019 Recap)

Hey y’all! I have been taking a break from blogging a little bit during the holidays to really focus on family, my husband, and our new puppy! It is so crazy how much goes on when you just lift your head up from your phone. In saying that, I am sorry for those I have struggled to text back and message back.. I have just tried to unplug as much as possible. But I am getting back into the groove of things and balancing social media and social interactions!

This year has been a great one! I started my blog! My husband and I went on our honeymoon, we bought a house, Cody celebrated his 26th birthday, we spent lots of time on the lake with our besties, we celebrated our first anniversary, we got a new puppy, I celebrated my 23rd birthday, and we had an amazing Christmas!

My favorite thing about this year was so hard to pick.. but I loved going to the Virgin Islands almost as much as I loved getting our puppy, Dani. The Virgin Islands were a great break and celebration of Cody and I. Dani was the absolute best birthday present ever. I have been asking Cody for a puppy for a while and I was not expecting it so soon! I am super thankful for her. We wanted our other dog Zeus to have a friend while we were gone at work so he wasn’t alone all the time and they have become the best of friends!

Instead of resolutions I wanted to set goals. Some of my goals are silly and some are bigger. For 2020: I want to stay ahead of laundry, drink less soda and more water, and get up earlier. Those are some of my silly goals that I have, but some of the bigger ones are to: grow my blog/Instagram to 10K, reach some financial goals, and go to the gym more and actually see some change in my body. I don’t have a dieting plan or a post plan, but I do plan to keep a tight schedule on getting these goals accomplished.

What are your goals?? Write them in the comments below!

Enjoy Life With A Side of Laurel and Happy New Year

xoxo
